MacDay Raffle: Terms & Conditions

Promoter: Green Farms Nut Company 1993 (Pty) Ltd. (GFNC)

1. Eligibility

• Open to individuals aged 18 and above.
• Grower Prize: Open to macadamia growers in Southern Africa (or their authorised representatives).
• Non-Grower Prize: Open to non-growers (e.g., suppliers and guests).
• Exclusions: Employees and directors of GFNC or Green & Gold Macadamias.
• One entry per person. The Promoter may request verification of identity, employment, and, for growers, proof of grower status.
• Growers need to be registered with SAMAC or for growers outside South Africa, growers that are members of SAMAC.

2. How to Enter

• Scan the QR code or visit gfnc.co.za/entry and answer two questions. Both questions must be answered correctly.
• Entry window: Monday, 15 September 2025 at 08:00 to Wednesday, 17 September 2025 at 10:00 (SA time).
• Only one entry per person is permitted. Incomplete, duplicate, or automated entries may be disqualified.

3. Prizes

• Grower Prize – Return flight to IMS 2026 (economy class):
  • Value capped at R30,000 (including taxes/fees). Flights only.
  • Not a cash prize. No cash alternative. May not be sold or reassigned. Non-transferable to people outside your farming organisation
  • Booked by the Promoter once the official IMS 2026 host city/country and dates are confirmed. Travel must align with the IMS programme.
  • If the fare exceeds R30,000, the winner may either (a) pay the difference, or (b) accept an alternative routing/itinerary within the cap.
  • Excludes visas, travel insurance, accommodation, transfers, meals, event registration/fees, and all other expenses.
  • The winner is responsible for holding a valid passport and securing any required visas/entry permits. The Promoter accepts no liability for visa refusals or travel disruptions.
• Non-Grower Prize – Macadamia hamper:
  • Contents may vary.
  • Non-transferable. No cash alternative.

4. Draw, Attendance & Notification

• The draw for both prizes will take place live during the MacDay 25 conference on Wednesday, 17 September 2025.
• Entrants must be present in the room to win. If a name is called and the entrant does not present themselves immediately, the Promoter will redraw.
• If, due to technical or operational issues, a redraw or verification is required after the event, the Promoter will contact the winner via email, SMS, or phone within 5 working days.

5. Publicity & Privacy

• Winners agree that their name/company and likeness (non-sensitive) may be used in reasonable post-promotion publicity.
• Personal data will be used only for the purpose of administering the raffle and in accordance with the GFNC privacy policy available at: https://www.gfnc.co.za/privacy-policy/.
• If circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it impossible or impractical to run the raffle or fulfil a prize, the Promoter may amend, suspend, or cancel the raffle, taking reasonable steps to avoid undue prejudice to entrants.

6. Disqualification & Prize Withdrawal

• The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant and withdraw or reallocate a prize if:
  • the entrant breaches these Terms & Conditions,
  • provides false, misleading, or incomplete information,
  • engages in conduct that is fraudulent, dishonest, or unfair, or
  • fails to meet the eligibility or verification requirements.
• The Promoter’s decision in this regard is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
